The short answer
A Beko BWM washer that sits there doing nothing has very often been told to do exactly that. A delay start left set from a previous cycle, or a programme selected but never confirmed, leaves the machine lit, responsive and completely idle - and there is nothing to find because nothing is wrong.
What you observe
- The panel is lit and the machine simply waits — A delay start still counting, or a programme never confirmed.

Check in this order, and why
- Cancel the programme and start a plain cycle from scratch — First. It clears a delay start and an unconfirmed selection in one move.

- Close the door firmly and listen for the interlock — Third. A front-loader will not run until the door is confirmed.
- Test the receptacle with something known good — Fourth, if the panel is dark, and check the breaker at the same time.

Safety
Unplug the machine before removing any panel, and close both taps before disturbing a hose. Never defeat a door interlock to make the machine run - it is what stops the door opening on a drum full of water. A washer is heavy; get help rather than levering it out on a corner.

When to call a technician
