The short answer
A Beko BWM washer takes cold water and heats what it needs itself, and that is where a great many stalled or endless cycles begin. If the water never reaches the temperature the programme asks for, the machine does not fail - it waits, and a cycle that should have ended hours ago is still quietly running.
What you observe
- A long stall part-way through a hot programme — The machine is waiting for a temperature it is not reaching.
- Cold programmes complete but hot ones do not — Isolates the fault to heating rather than to the control.
- The cycle stretches on every programme — A slow fill from a partly closed tap or a blocked inlet filter.
- The drum tumbles, pauses and tumbles again — A load the drum cannot balance before the spin.

- Failed heater or temperature sensor — First whenever hot programmes stall and cold ones finish.

Check in this order, and why
- Run the same load on a cold programme — First, because it separates a heating fault from everything else at no cost.
- Feel the door glass part-way through a hot wash — Second. A cool door on a hot programme says the water is not being heated.
- Check both taps are fully open and the inlet filters clear — Third, and it explains a cycle that is slow on every programme.
- Redistribute the load and restart the spin — Fourth, if the machine is stalling before the spin rather than during the wash.
Before you open anything
Safety
Unplug the machine before removing any panel, and close the taps before disturbing a hose. Never force the door mid-cycle: the interlock holds it while the drum is full or turning, and the water behind it can be hot. Have towels ready before opening the pump filter for the same reason.

When to call a technician
Call when cold programmes complete and hot ones stall, because a heater or its sensor sits under the drum and replacing one means opening the machine. Call immediately if the machine trips its breaker during the heating part of a cycle, which is a failed heater earthing rather than something to retry.
