What it means, first
The short answer: F1-9 says the oven control and its wiring failed the check the machine runs on itself before it will commit to a cycle. Expect it to work briefly after a reset; a fault that returns is not a fault a reset fixed, and the cheapest of the likely causes is a brown-out or a surge during a cycle, which a full power-down clears.

What you actually see and hear
- The appliance works after a reset and fails again days later — An interval measured in days points at heat and vibration rather than at a dead component.
- More than one code has appeared over the last few weeks — Several unrelated codes from one appliance is usually a supply or a connection story, not several faults.
- NEAR MISS - the panel is completely dark — No display at all is a supply or a low-voltage fault, and it is a different page.
Causes, and why they rank that way
- A supply disturbance that left the control latched — First because it is the only cause on this list an owner can clear: the board is fine, its stored state is not, and a full power-down is the whole repair.
- A connector or ribbon at Oven control — Second: the board talks to the rest of the machine through plugs that vibrate and oxidise, and a marginal contact reads to the control exactly like a failed board.
