The short answer
Start here. On this refrigerator, a leak that starts with a move is almost always the tray or the tube, both of which live at the back. Reseating a tray and straightening a tube are minutes of owner work with the unit unplugged.

- Blocked or split drain tube behind the cabinet — Next: the tube from the trough to the tray can crack with age or be crushed when the cabinet is pushed back, and then it drains onto the floor. If this is the answer, the rest of the list stops mattering entirely.
- Cabinet not level so water runs the wrong way — Then: it explains the puddle that appears at the front with a drain that tests perfectly clear. Where this checks out clean, treat the next entry as the working theory rather than a possibility.
What to check, in order
- First — the tray under the cabinet — Unplug the unit, reach under the back and confirm the tray is seated and sitting level under the drain tube.
- Second — the drain tube — Check that the tube ends over the tray rather than beside it. A tube that has slipped is the whole fault.

- Step 1. Find where the water actually is — Dry everything, put a paper towel at the front, the back and inside the base, and see which one is wet first. That single observation removes most of the list.

Water and a live cabinet are the combination that turns a small leak into an electrical fault, so power and water both come off before the towels come out.
