The short answer
A Beko BWDB has the leak list of a front-load washer plus one more: water flows through the machine during the dry phase as well, to condense the moisture coming off the load. So the single most useful thing to note about a combi leak is whether it happens during the wash, during the dry, or with the machine standing idle.
What you observe
- Water appears only during the dry phase — The condensing feed or the condensate route - unique to a combi.
- Water at the front during the wash, without foam — The door boot, usually torn at its lowest point.
- Foam and water at the front during the fill — The detergent drawer overflowing.
- Water under the middle after a cycle — The pump filter cap, the pump housing or the sump hose.
- NEAR MISS - the drum stays full — That is drainage rather than a leak; the drainage page covers it.
Causes, most likely first on this family
- Condensing feed or condensate route — First for any leak confined to the dry phase, and the fault a plain washer cannot have.
- Torn or perished door boot — Second, and the leading mechanical leak on any front-loader.
- Pump filter cap not seated — Third, and very common right after the filter has been cleaned - which happens often on a combi.
- Detergent drawer overflowing — Fourth, from over-dosing or a blocked siphon.
- Supply hose connection weeping — Last, and the only one that runs with the machine switched off.
Check in this order, and why
- Note which phase the water appears in — First, because a dry-phase leak and a wash-phase leak share nothing.
- Dry the floor and run a dry phase alone — Second. If water returns, the condensing side is confirmed without opening anything.
- Open the door boot at its lowest fold and inspect it — Third. Grit, coins and a tear are visible without tools.
- Check the filter cap is fully seated and its seal clean — Fourth, especially if the filter was recently cleaned.
Before you open anything
Safety
Unplug the machine before removing any panel, and close both taps before disturbing a hose. Mop first: water and a live appliance on a hard floor is a shock risk. Let the machine cool after a dry cycle before working on it, and replace rather than re-use a supply hose whose fitting has cracked.

When to call a technician
Call for any leak that appears only during drying, because the condensing route runs inside the cabinet and is not owner-serviceable. Call also once the boot, the drawer, the filter cap and the hoses are sound and water still appears, and immediately if water reaches the electrical area at the base.
