Ice Maker Fault: the short answer
A freezer that has stopped producing ice is usually short of water or short of the cold it needs to harvest on schedule. Both are proved outside the ice maker, and on a compact cabinet the temperature side is the one that catches people out.

Unplug the freezer before removing any panel. Refrigerant lines are sealed and pressurised and are not owner-serviceable — never pierce, cut or heat one. Never chip ice off an evaporator with a screwdriver or a knife: the tubing is thin-walled and puncturing it ends the appliance. A full chest cabinet is extremely heavy, so empty it before moving it and never let a lid fall onto a hand or head.
