Asko Dishwasher: Not Heating
A dishwasher that is not heating shows it in results rather than in temperature: dishes come out greasy, detergent is left undissolved in the dispenser, and nothing dries. Because the machine offers no thermometer, the useful diagnosis is indirect — the state of the dispenser at the end of a cycle tells you more about the heat than the temperature of the door ever will. - Look at what the machine has been consuming rather than what it is made of. - Clear every filter and screen the machine has, and check whether the water it runs in is hard: scale and detergent residue collect on the surfaces that matter most and produce symptoms that mimic component failure. When to call a technician
The line is any test of the element or the sensor. Call if detergent is still left undissolved after a standard hot programme. Call if the machine trips protection when it should be heating. Call if cycle times have shortened noticeably, which often accompanies an open element. Call if descaling and a hot programme make no difference.
