What the machine is telling you

- A burning smell, a tripping breaker or a hot plug — Stop using the appliance and call. This class is not an owner repair, and neither is the sealed circuit.
- NEAR MISS: a cabinet that takes a day to recover after delivery or a big shop — Recovery takes time. Judge temperature the next morning with a thermometer, not an hour later.

Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel or grille. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never open the sealed refrigeration circuit and never vent refrigerant: that work needs a certified technician with recovery equipment. Where the owner fix ends
Of the classes above, heat rejection, air distribution, doors, levelling, the reachable part of the water circuit and demo mode are owner-addressable. Defrost components, sensors, fans behind panels, controls and anything sealed are not. Anything electrical means stop using the appliance and call.
