The short answer
Most noise from an Elisii unit comes from one of two fans rather than from the compressor. A ticking or loud whirring that changes when the door is opened is the evaporator fan behind the freezer wall, often touching ice; a rattle or drone from the back is the condenser fan. Because this badge sells online with no dealer network behind it, levelling and the clearance behind the cabinet are checked first.
What you are seeing
- Clicks at intervals with no other change — Defrost switching or the ice maker cycling, rather than a fault.
- A new noise that arrived with worse cooling — Noise plus warmth points at a fan that is failing rather than a harmless sound.
- A loud whirring or ticking that changes when the freezer door is opened — The evaporator fan, often hitting ice on its blade or shroud.
- Water trickling or a sizzle for a few minutes at intervals — A defrost cycle draining onto a warm surface.
- NEAR MISS: a water trickle or a short sizzle after a quiet spell — Defrost water reaching the pan.

The order of checks, and why
- Rock the cabinet, check all feet, and look for tubing contact — A pipe touching the case can often be eased clear by hand with the power off.
- Open the freezer door and listen for the noise to change — Most builds stop that fan with the door open, which makes the test decisive.
- With the power off, clear the grille and turn the fan by hand — Roughness or an obstruction explains the noise and the cooling together.
