Heating faults dominate: a weak igniter on gas versions and a failed bake element on electric ones lead the list. Door and gasket leaks come second and are under-reported because owners describe them as uneven cooking, and fan noise is third and often turns out to be normal behaviour.

Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. If you smell gas: do not switch anything on or off, leave the building, and call the gas utility or your emergency number from outside. Do not look for the leak yourself. Let the cavity cool fully before any inspection, particularly after a self-clean cycle.
What is owner work here
Inspecting a gasket, running a paper test, checking the cavity for loose bakeware, measuring the oven with a separate thermometer, confirming the breaker and watching an element or burner during preheat are all owner work. Replacing elements, igniters, sensors, fans and door hinges is not. Arcing, scorching and gas smells are not diagnosed at all by the owner: isolate the appliance and call.
