A cycle that never completes on an Avanti SLTW washer is almost always one of four things: no water, no drainage, no balance, or no door proof. All four are checkable without tools, and all four produce a machine that looks like it has simply stopped thinking.
What this looks like in use
- It stops at the same point every time — Within the SLTW family, a fault that keeps to one point in the cycle is far easier to place than one that wanders.
- The cycle takes far longer than it used to — On this family, time is a symptom in its own right, and it usually precedes an outright stall.
- The time remaining jumps up instead of down — On the SLTW line, the control is extending or repeating a step it cannot complete, which is how it reports trouble.

Switch the washer off at its socket or breaker before any panel comes off — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Close both taps before unscrewing an inlet hose to look at its screen, and have a towel ready. Leave the lid catch and its wiring exactly as built.

Where the owner line falls
Call once you can say where the cycle stops, both taps are open with clear screens, the filter and drain path are clear and a smaller balanced load makes no difference. What is left is a level sensor, a heater, a motor control or the board, and all of those need a meter behind a panel.
