Ariston Washer: Abnormal Noise or Vibration
Washer noise divides cleanly into two families: noise at spin, which is about balance, bearings and foreign objects, and noise at wash, which is about the drum, the pump and what is caught between the drum and the tub. Ariston is an European mainstream brand on shared group platforms: conventional layouts, compact European dimensions, well covered by documentation. Levelling, transit bolts, load balance and clearing the filter are owner work. Bearings and shock absorbers are not.
What the owner actually observes
- A loud rumble or roar that appears only at high spin speed and rises with it.
- A rhythmic knocking as the drum turns slowly during the wash.
- A grinding or scraping that happens at every drum rotation.
- The machine walks across the floor during spin.
- A rattle or clatter that only occurs at the drain and spin step.

- Read what the machine is telling you. Call if the machine knocks heavily at the start and end of spin, which points at the suspension. Call if something is audibly loose between the drum and the tub.
