Where the service line falls
The paper test passes everywhere, the cabinet is level and square in its housing, and it still will not hold 40 °F (4 °C) or below. The gasket is torn, split or has hardened so that it no longer returns to shape after warming, which means a replacement matched to the channel profile. A hinge pin or bushing is worn enough that the door drops visibly, which cannot be corrected by adjustment. The inner door panel has separated from its foam so the door bows in the middle, at which point no hinge adjustment brings the gasket to the frame.
