Look for contact between the appliance and its housing before suspecting the machine. Check the levelling, the fixing brackets and whether anything touches the sides or the rear. Most integrated freezer noise is transmission through the furniture rather than a fault.

Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel - locate the isolating switch first, since the plug behind a built-in machine is usually unreachable. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Keep a freezer at or below zero degrees Fahrenheit while you investigate. Never bend or cut tubing behind the plinth, and support the appliance before loosening any fixing bracket.
When to call
Call when there is no contact with the housing, the brackets are correct, the machine is level and a harsh or new noise persists - especially with a cooling change. Say the appliance is integrated when booking: diagnosing noise on a built-in machine usually means drawing it out of the housing, which adds time to the visit.
