The short answer
Test the seal with a sheet of paper at several points. A door that fails the test, is sagging, or has a dirty or hardened gasket lets warm air in continuously - which shows as sweating, frost, longer running and a warmer cabinet.
What you notice
- Moisture on the cabinet face or door edge — Warm air condensing at a leak.
- The machine runs far more than it used to — A continuous heat leak.
- Frost building in the freezer compartment — The moisture that air brought in.
- The door does not pull itself closed — A tired gasket or a sagging door.
- Cabinet light staying on — The door is not closing fully.
- Not this fault: condensation on a drink taken out of the machine — That is the room, not the appliance.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Keep the refrigerator at or below forty degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer at or below zero degrees Fahrenheit while you investigate. A loaded refrigerator door is heavy - support it before loosening any hinge fixing, and never leave a door removable where children can reach it.
When to call
Call when the gasket is clean and intact, nothing fouls the opening, the cabinet is level and the seal still leaks - that points at the hinge or the door itself. Call sooner if the compartments are warming, because a leak that big is costing food. Ask about gasket availability and price, which on a value-tier machine decides the repair.
