The short answer
Owning an ecozy dishwasher means owning a countertop dishwasher: one spray arm, a faucet adapter or an internal fill tank, a hose draining into the sink, and an ordinary kitchen outlet, most often as a tap-fed countertop machine that couples to the kitchen faucet for the length of the cycle. Two things dominate what goes wrong with it: loading and inlet water temperature on one side, and the drain hose on the other. The problems, and how to tell them apart
- Water leak — ecozy-dishwasher-water-leak — Water on the counter, under the machine, or at the tap connection. The faucet adapter is the only permanently pressurised joint on a countertop machine, and it is the first thing to check.

Which of these you can fix yourself
Owner-fixable, provided the appliance is unplugged before any panel comes off: water leak; does not clean or dry; will not drain; will not start or no power; controls, display or error code; cycle will not run or complete; not heating; odor or mold; door, latch or seal fault; abnormal noise or vibration. Not owner-fixable past the first check, because each ends at a sealed system, a payment interface, a locked door or a live circuit: electrical, fire or gas hazard. The rule on this class: anything reachable with the appliance unplugged and a screwdriver is yours, anything behind a sealed panel is not. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off.
