Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. A freezer holds food safely at 0 F (-18 C) or below - a compartment that cannot reach that is not a freezer, whatever it is labelled. Never chip frost off a cold plate with anything hard or sharp. Let frost melt rather than forcing it. Never use a heat source inside the cabinet. Do not store anything that must stay frozen in a compartment you have not measured.
When this becomes a service call
