Which of these are owner-fixable
Call once the condenser is clean, the clearance is right, the seal passes the paper test and the cabinet has been fully defrosted, and it still will not hold 40 °F (4 °C). At that point the remaining candidates are inside the sealed system or behind the evaporator, and both need a technician with gauges. Call when the noise is a regular click on a several-minute rhythm, when it comes from inside the sealed compressor housing, or when it is accompanied by a temperature rise. Levelling, a loose pan and a fouled fan are owner work; a bearing inside a sealed motor is not.
