Which of these are owner-fixable
Call when the coil is clean, the room is inside the cabinet’s climate rating, the cabinet has been fully defrosted and the seal passes, and it still will not reach 0 °F (−18 °C). What remains is behind the evaporator or inside the sealed system. Call when the noise is a regular click on a several-minute rhythm, when it comes from inside the sealed compressor housing, or when it arrives together with a temperature rise. Levelling, contents and a loose pan are owner work; a sealed motor is not.
