- The panel is completely dark — No supply reaching the machine, or a protective device has operated.
- The panel lights but the cycle never begins — Power is present, so something is withholding permission.
- It starts only when the door is pressed hard — The latch is marginal rather than failed, and it will worsen.
- NEAR MISS — it starts and stops partway through — That is a cycle fault, not a start fault, and it ranks differently.
