The short answer
A new sound from a Dacor dishwasher is worth locating by phase. A noise during the wash points at the spray arms or the pump; a noise during the fill points at the valve; a noise during the drain points at the drain pump. - A grinding or rattling from the base — Debris in the sump reaching the pump impeller.
