The short answer
Most leaks on a Comfee CLV washer are at a hose, a cap or a seal, not through the cabinet. On these models the door or lid seal sits close to the load, which matters on the wash stage. Work in the order below: outside in, because the outside causes are free and the inside ones are not.
What the owner sees and hears
- Water only at the end — Drain-stage water is the outlet side.
- Foam escaping rather than water — Compact drums need a fraction of a normal dose.
- A puddle at the rear only — Rear water is the hose connections or the drain spigot and needs the machine pulled out.
- A leak that appears on hot washes — Higher levels reach parts of the drum a short cycle never touches.
- NEAR MISS — water inside the drum that will not drain — Deal with the blockage first — the drain page covers it.
Causes, most likely first on the CLV line
- The drain filter cover leaking — Common enough that it is worth checking before anything is moved.
- Supply hose or washer leaking — Hard water scales the sealing faces, so a joint that held for years starts weeping without being touched.
- Foam rather than water — It belongs high on compact machines because a standard dose is too much here.
- Water escaping at the door — Clean the fold before condemning the part — debris is the usual cause.
- Internal hose or tub seal failing — It ranks bottom on frequency and top on access difficulty.
What to check first, second, third
- Check the gasket for trapped fibre or damage — Fibre and coins in the fold hold the seal open at one point, and cleaning is usually the whole fix.
- Run a short cycle with paper towel down — Fill, wash and drain each point somewhere different, so note the moment rather than the puddle.
- Dry both supply hoses and check every joint — Replace hardened washers rather than over-tightening: force does not fix rubber.
- Clean the cap seal and close it firmly — Close it hand-tight and test with a drain cycle.
- Halve the dose and watch again — Compact drums need much less than a standard dose.
Before you open anything
Safety
Dry the floor as you go and do not walk it on a wet floor: a wet floor and a heavy cabinet is how people get hurt. Do not tighten a leaking fitting while the supply is live — close it, fix it, then open it. Take the machine out of use rather than running it to see how bad the leak gets.

When to call a technician
The line here is the cabinet: connections and seals are owner work, internal hoses and the tub are not. A machine that leaks onto its own electrics should be taken out of use rather than run again.
