The short answer
Owners of this freezer land here for one reason, and the useful split is between faults you can act on today and faults that need a meter, and it is not the split owners expect. Unpacking a cabinet, clearing ice and flushing a drain are all safe with the unit unplugged, and between them they resolve most complaints.
The problems, one entry each
- Door or lid seal — A seal that looks perfect and leaks anyway. The door-seal page separates a flat gasket from a lifted one from a twisted cabinet.
- Not freezing, or not freezing hard enough — Ice cream soft, packages frosting, a compressor that never stops. The not-freezing page ranks the load, the seal and the frost layer above anything inside the sealed system.
