What this means on this line
A Beko DIT machine that does nothing when the start button is pressed is usually being stopped by something outside itself: a tripped circuit, a child lock still armed, a delay timer set by accident, or a door that is closed but not latched. The platform has no separate mechanical timer to fail, which removes a whole branch of the fault tree.
Symptoms on these models
- A start indicator flashes and the machine stays silent — On each of the models covered here, on these models a flashing start light is the signal that a precondition has not been met, most often the door latch.
- The door will not stay shut — It closes and springs back a few millimetres, so the latch never engages and the machine never sees a closed door.
- The cycle starts and stops within a minute — A brief start that aborts is a fill or drain precondition rather than a start fault, and it points at the water side. It is the same on all the models in the table on this page.

Why it happens, in order
- The door is closed but not latched — First on the DIT line by a wide margin. A protruding handle, a tall item in the upper rack or a slightly sagging door stops the latch engaging, and the panel still lights because the display is upstream of the latch switch. The same is true of each model covered here.
- No supply at the socket or a tripped breaker — Second because it is free to check and because a dishwasher shares its circuit with other kitchen loads often enough for an unrelated appliance to have tripped it. This applies to the whole line rather than to one model.
- A delay start left set from a previous cycle — These models keep a selected delay through a door open and close, so a machine that was set overnight and then reopened appears dead when it is simply counting down.
- No water at the supply tap — The machine checks for fill before it commits to a programme, so a closed or partly closed service tap stops the cycle at the very beginning with no error the owner can read.
- A failed supply component inside the door panel — Last because it cannot be confirmed without stripping the door and because everything upstream of it is free to check. It is suspected only when the socket is proven and the panel stays dark.
What to check first, second, third
- Press the door firmly shut and listen for the latch — First because it is the most common cause on the DIT line and because the latch makes an audible click when it engages that a nearly-closed door does not. Every model in this family behaves this way.
- Look for a protruding item in either rack — A handle through the upper basket or a tall board in the lower one holds the door a few millimetres proud, which is enough to stop the latch and invisible from the front.
- Check the socket with something else — Third, because it separates the appliance from the circuit in seconds and because a shared kitchen circuit is tripped by other loads more often than by the dishwasher. That holds across every model this page covers.
Before anything comes apart
Safety
Power off at the plug or the breaker before working behind any panel. If the machine has been wet, or if the socket behind it is damp, treat the whole circuit as live-until-proven and leave the breaker off rather than testing at the appliance.

When this becomes a service call
Stop and call if there is any smell of burning from the door edge or the base of the cabinet, or if the machine has tripped its breaker twice. Both point at a wiring or thermal fault that should not be run again to reproduce. That is true of every model this family spans.
