Never leave a dryer running unattended overnight while you are diagnosing a cycle fault.
When to call a technician
Call a technician when a timed cycle also fails to dry with a proven clear duct, when the machine stops mid-cycle repeatedly, or when the cabinet is getting very hot while the load stays damp. Call promptly on the last of those: heat with no airflow is the dangerous combination.
