- The fitted door is heavy on its hinge, or the cabinet run has been closed off behind the appliance — An integrated installation makes the cabinetry part of the machine, and both of those are installation faults rather than appliance faults.
- NEAR MISS — the panel is dark and nothing is cold — That is a supply or complete-failure symptom and belongs on the will-not-start page.
The ranking that matters

Before you open anything
Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Do not bridge, jumper or bypass a door switch or an interlock to make a code clear: the code is a description of a condition, and defeating the sensor that reports it hides the condition without removing it.
The line between a fix and a call
Call a technician when a code returns after a full power-down reset, when the display disagrees with what the cabinet is actually doing, or when the behaviour changes on its own from day to day. Call immediately if the panel is scorched, smells hot, or if the cabinet trips a breaker when it powers up.
