The short answer

How the fault presents

- Banging, walking or a rumble during spin — Load balance and levelling first; bearings only after those are clear.
- NEAR MISS: a little water left in the detergent drawer — Normal on many platforms. A drawer full of undissolved detergent is a temperature or pressure symptom instead.
Causes, most likely first
- Installation: levelling, feet, transit bolts, hoses and drain route — Top of the list: this badge builds ventless combination machines, and an install done once governs noise, leaks, cold washes and drainage for the life of the machine. It is also the class an owner can close out completely, with a level and a spanner.
- Drain and pump faults — Next in order: owner checks resolve a large part of it, which is why it sits where it does rather than at the top.
- Loading and programme choice — Less often, third: a single heavy item unbalances a drum, an overloaded machine washes poorly, and eco programmes cap temperature and time.
- Electrical faults: tripping, hot plug, burning smell — Fourth: there is no owner repair in this class.
