Cold washing on an Engindot unit shows up as poor results on greasy loads and detergent that never dissolves. Because this badge sells online with no dealer network behind it, the install side of the list is the place to begin: hoses on the wrong valves is one of the commonest faults in a laundry and costs nothing to correct.

- Powder or liquid detergent residue left in the drawer or the drum — Detergent needs warm water to disperse, so the drawer reports the temperature.
- Greasy collars and cuffs surviving a hot wash setting — Fats need heat; cold water leaves them behind whatever the programme says.
