The short answer
Treat a code on an Elisii appliance as a pointer rather than a verdict. Most of them name a temperature sensor, a defrost circuit or a fan, and a cabinet that is not cold explains the code rather than the other way round. The ranking below is ordered for what can be cleared without a tool.
What you are seeing
- A repeating code on the display — Note it exactly, along with which compartment is affected.
- A showroom or demo indicator on the display — Cooling disabled by design, lights and display alive.
- The display is dark but the appliance still cools — A display fault rather than a control fault.
- NEAR MISS: a display that flashes while the appliance is first cooling down — Many builds indicate the cool-down after delivery or a power cut.
Likely causes in order of odds
- Showroom or demo mode, control lock, or a setting — Top of the list: a control lock does the same for the buttons, and both survive unplugging, which is why they are eliminated before anything else. Check for a lock or demo indicator before any other step.
- A latched fault the control is still holding — Next in order: controls hold a fault after the condition has passed, so the appliance looks broken when the event is already over.
- Temperature sensor out of range — Less often, third: it is a cheap part and a common fault, and it is the usual reality behind a code that names a compartment.
The order of checks, and why
- Look for a lock, demo or showroom indicator and clear it — The manual gives the key combination; it is usually a long press on two keys.
- Power down fully for a few minutes, then watch for the code to return — A code that comes straight back is live; one that does not was latched.
- Compare the display with a thermometer in the cabinet — A large disagreement points at the sensor rather than the cooling.

- Write the code down exactly, with which compartment is affected — Letters and digits as shown, plus what the cabinet is doing.

When to call a technician
Call once demo mode and any lock are cleared, one full reset has not held, the display has been checked against a thermometer and the cabinet is genuinely cold. What remains needs the console off and the code read against the data for your build. Call sooner if the appliance is not holding temperature, whatever the display says.
