- Levelling, floor contact or tubing touching the cabinet — Second most likely here: a cabinet that rocks transmits compressor vibration into the floor, and a pipe resting against the case turns a normal hum into a buzz.
- Evaporator fan hitting ice, or its blade damaged — Less often, third: the door test identifies it in seconds, and ice on the blade usually means a defrost problem standing behind the noise.
