The short answer
Check the levelling and the backward tilt before the gasket. A free-standing door that will not close itself is usually a levelling problem. Then clean the gasket, check for bottles fouling the opening, and test with paper all the way round.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Keep the refrigerator at or below forty degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer at or below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Support a loaded door before loosening any hinge fixing, and take care with glass-fronted drinks cabinet doors, which are heavy and awkward.
When to call
Call when the cabinet is level, the gasket is clean and intact, nothing fouls the opening and the seal still leaks - that points at the hinge or a torn gasket. On an under-counter or drinks cabinet, ask about parts availability first, since specialist models can have longer lead times than mainstream appliances.
