The short answer
Confirm the machine is actually plumbed. If it is, check for a frozen section of supply line in cold weather, then the shut-off arm, then the freezer temperature. A second refrigerator in a cold room often fails to harvest because the freezer itself is not cold enough.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Keep the refrigerator at or below forty degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer at or below zero degrees Fahrenheit wherever it stands. Turn off the water supply before touching any fitting, never thaw a line with a flame or a heat gun, and do not work on plumbing while standing in water.
When to call
Call a plumber for a frozen, split or leaking supply line, and for protecting a run through unheated space. Call an appliance technician when water reaches the machine, the freezer is genuinely cold, and still no ice is made. On an older second refrigerator, weigh the module price against simply using trays.
