Dryer faults are dominated by one thing: airflow. Most complaints about heat, cycle length and even electrical trips lead back to a restricted exhaust. Before you open anything

Before anything else on an EdgeStar dryer, the rule that is not negotiable. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel.
