Switch off the breaker before removing the lower panel or the door skin: the heating element and the junction box are both live under the machine, and there is standing water in the sump. Never defeat the door latch to watch a cycle run. Let a hot machine cool before you reach into it.
Where an owner fix ends
Call when the supply is proved, the door latches, the taps are on and no lock or delay is set, because what remains is the latch switch, the board or the panel. Call sooner if a breaker trips whenever the machine is switched on, and do not keep resetting it: repeated tripping is the circuit telling you something real.
