A dishwasher leak is almost always found by watching where the water arrives rather than by guessing which part failed. On an Ecozy dishwasher the order that matters is this: "Door gasket or door alignment letting water past" first, then the rest of the list below. A tank-filled or faucet-fed machine has a shorter water path than a plumbed one, which removes several usual suspects and adds a few of its own.
The observables
- Water appears at the front of the machine — A front leak is a door leak until proved otherwise. Note whether this is new or has always been there.
- The machine keeps filling longer than it used to — The stop signal is not arriving.
- The floor is wet even when nothing has run — Only the supply is pressurised while the machine is idle. If your unit does this, it narrows the list below immediately.
- NEAR MISS — foam visible in the tub or on the floor — Suds, not a seal. If that is your Ecozy dishwasher, the bottom of the ranking below is where to start — and this may not be the nearest page for it.
Causes, most likely first on an Ecozy dishwasher
- The door is not sealing at its lower corners — Most likely on this platform. It ranks first because water at the front of the machine is the most commonly reported version of this fault and the seal is the cheapest suspect. Confirm it on the Ecozy dishwasher itself rather than by comparison with another machine.
- Overfilling because of a float or a level fault — Second. A float held up by debris lets the fill continue past the point where the tub can hold it.
- Fill hose, inlet valve or the connection under the sink — Third. It ranks high because a supply leak wets the floor whether the machine is running or not, which makes it the most urgent to find. Confirm it on the Ecozy dishwasher itself rather than by comparison with another machine.
- Excess suds carrying water out of the tub — Least likely, and the most expensive. Foam travels where water cannot, and it will leave the tub past a seal that is in perfect condition.
What to check first, second, third
- To begin: Run a hand round the gasket feeling for hardened or displaced sections. — It costs nothing, and every check below it is read wrongly if this one was never done on an Ecozy dishwasher.
- Then: Open the door mid-cycle and look at the water level against the heating element. — It separates the two remaining Ecozy dishwasher causes without any tools.
- And third: Dry everything and see whether water returns with the machine idle. — On an Ecozy dishwasher it only means something after the first two have been eliminated.
What an owner can safely check
- Inspect the gasket all the way round — Look for a section pushed out of its channel, a tear at a corner, or debris trapped in the seal.
Tools: flashlightAbout 15 min
- Check the water level part-way through a wash — Water above the normal line at the tub floor means the fill is not being stopped.
About 20 min
- Check for a leak with the machine switched off — Water arriving with no cycle running means the supply side, and nothing else.
Tools: paper towelAbout 20 min
- Stop before anything that means working on a live circuit — On an Ecozy dishwasher the owner checks end at observation; a diagnosis that needs instruments belongs to a technician.
Before any panel comes off
Safety
Before anything else on an Ecozy dishwasher, the rule that is not negotiable. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. This machine holds water and mains in one cabinet, so an electrical symptom outranks whatever else is wrong with it. Leave the door interlock exactly as it is — nothing on this page needs the machine running with the door open. No check on this page requires the machine to be running with a panel removed.
Where the owner side ends
On an Ecozy dishwasher the handover point is easy to define. If the repair needs a panel off, or the machine energised while it is open, it is a service call. Everything past that boundary is inside a wet cabinet with mains in it, which is the honest reason for the line.

What this page does not cover
Read this as the class-level answer for an Ecozy dishwasher; anything more specific to your model lives on its own page. Where a family- or model-specific page exists for your unit it is the more specific answer, and it is the one to read first if your model is named on it. Until a more specific Ecozy dishwasher page exists the answer stays here — generalized, never withheld. This page carries no part numbers, no wiring detail and no model-specific measurements, because those are only true of one family and this page covers a class.
