No fan means a different noise list
A direct-cooled kimchi refrigerator has no evaporator fan, so the noise floor is very low and any new sound stands out sharply. That also means most noise complaints here are the compressor, the refrigerant settling, or containers moving - not a fan, because there is not one to fail.
What you are seeing
- A gurgle or trickle after the compressor stops.
- A hum that is louder than it used to be.
- A knock at the moment the compressor starts.
- A rattle from inside the compartment when the cabinet runs.
- A buzz that changes when the cabinet is touched.
