What this means on these models
A Commercial Care CC washer that will not drain has a blockage far more often than a dead pump. On machines this size the pump is sized for a clear path, and it cannot force a blockage. Only when the path is proven clear does the pump itself become the suspect.
What the owner sees and hears
- Pump noise and a full drum — A pump humming against a blockage makes this exact sound and should be stopped.
- No spin and a wet load — If the drum is full, the missing spin is downstream.
- Clothes sitting in water at the end — Note whether any water left at all: a half-empty drum means a partial blockage.

- Trace the hose from the machine to the standpipe — Straighten any sag that holds water and secure the hose so it cannot slip down the standpipe.
- Start at the filter behind the access panel — Use the small emergency hose beside the filter if the model has one, rather than unscrewing it wet.
- Turn the impeller by hand with the machine isolated — Only with the power off — it is a motor and it will run.
- Pour water down the standpipe and watch it go — Do this before blaming the machine — a pump surge needs far more flow than a tap.
Safety first, and it is not optional

Sharp objects collect in the filter chamber, so feel carefully rather than sweeping a hand round it. Use the small emergency drain hose beside the filter where the model has one, rather than releasing several litres at once. If the drum is heavy with water, empty it before moving the machine.
