These are compact units, so the counterweight-to-drum ratio works against them and a single towel can set them dancing. Causes, most likely first on the CLC line
- Washing bunched — Mixed loads of a duvet with small pieces gather in one place as they wet, which is where this starts.
- Debris in the gap — Common wherever pockets go unchecked, which makes it frequent rather than exotic.
- The cabinet free to move — These machines are moved often, so levelling is something that needs redoing rather than doing once.
- The tub hitting its travel limits — Worn dampers let a normal load produce an abnormal swing, so the symptom is a machine that has slowly got worse.
The order to work in
- Test with the load evened out — First because it is the commonest cause and the result is immediate.
- Level the machine and lock the feet — Tighten the lock nuts — an unlocked foot undoes itself.
