What this means on these models
Most noise complaints on a Comfee HS refrigerator are vibration finding something to rattle, not a failing part. The compressor sits in a shallow bay, and anything touching that skin becomes a loudspeaker for it. Some of what you hear is normal: gurgling refrigerant, ticking as plastic expands, and a fan that starts and stops.
What you actually observe
- A rhythmic scrape once per revolution — It usually travels with frost problems, so check the back panel for ice at the same time.
- Whining that stops when the door opens — Hold the door switch in and listen — the sound returning names it.
- New sounds since the unit was pulled out — Check the tray, the feet and the clearances — in that order.
- Contents vibrating inside — Rearranging the shelf is the whole fix.
- NEAR MISS — gurgling and a wet floor — Melt water hitting a tray is normal; melt water hitting the floor is not.
