Straight answer first
A leaking Comfee CERU refrigerator is usually a drain that has plugged, because every cabinet makes water on purpose and has one narrow path to get rid of it. On a compact unit the pan holds very little, so anything that raises the water rate overflows it rather than evaporating it. The first job is to separate melt water from supply water, and where the puddle sits usually tells you.
What the owner sees and hears
- Water comes in bursts — A cycle-linked pattern excludes plumbing almost on its own.
- Water sitting under the bottom shelf — Water inside the box rather than under it rules out the supply line straight away.
- A wet patch on the wall or skirting behind — Look for a weeping joint on any supply line before blaming the tray.
- Ice under the drawers — Ice in the base is the same fault as water in the base, seen at a colder setting.

- Condensate reaching the floor instead of the tray — Mid-list: the tray is brittle after years over a warm compressor, and a cabinet that has been moved often arrives with it displaced.
- A hardened gasket letting humidity in — It ranks high on this family because the cabinets are small and often kept in humid rooms, and every gram of incoming moisture becomes condensate.
The order to work in
- Put a level across the front and along the side — Second because it is free and instant and it decides whether backed-up water reaches the floor.
- Lift the drawers out and look at the drain channel — Do not force anything down it: a stiff wire finds the tubing.
- Pull the unit out and look at the evaporation tray — Look for damage or displacement rather than just for water.
- Work around the gasket looking for gaps — A seal that lets humid air in is a water source in its own right.

Treat the water damage as the first problem and the leak as the second. Unplug the refrigerator or switch off its breaker before reaching behind it; a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. A cabinet with water under it can slip, so clear and dry before pulling it out.
