The short answer
The panel is the messenger: what it is reporting is nearly always elsewhere in the machine. A full power-down reset and a careful reading of what is shown settle a good share of these. On this kind of cabinet trading-company labels share their guts with dozens of other names, so a part that looks generic usually is generic.
What you actually observe
- The display is blank but the machine still responds — Display and control are separate; one can fail while the other works.
- A fault indication appears partway through a cycle — The machine detected a condition it could not satisfy, and the stage tells you which one.
- NEAR MISS — the machine is completely dead — No lights at all is a supply question and belongs on the start-up page.
- Programme selection jumps or behaves erratically — Often a failing selector or a damp control cavity instead of a board fault.
The ranking that matters
- A real condition being reported: drain, fill or door — Ranked first: Clearing the filter and opening the taps resolves a large share of what owners describe as control faults. It sits at the top here because trading-company labels share their guts with dozens of other names, so a part that looks generic usually is generic.
- Supply quality: extension lead or a shared circuit — Second: Electronic controls reset on voltage sag, and a washer sharing a socket with a heavy load sees exactly that.
- Door lock reporting intermittently — Third: It is the most frequently replaced electrical part on a front-loader, which is why it ranks high here.
Order of investigation
- Look for a lock or delay symbol on the panel — A padlock or a clock in the corner accounts for an unresponsive machine in moments.
- Run a hand round the door seal fold — Grit, coins and hairgrips collect at the lowest point and cause leaks, smells and tears from the inside.
- Check the filter, the taps and the door — Most indications name one of these three conditions, and all three are owner-accessible.
Safe checks, step by step
- Record the indication, then reset — Photograph the panel, then unplug the machine for several minutes and restore power.
About 15 min
- Clear the pump filter and check the drain path — Close the tap, unplug the machine, drain into a shallow tray and clear the trap and the hose.
Tools: shallow tray, towelsAbout 30 min
- STOP HERE if the indication persists with everything clear — Board and harness diagnosis needs a meter on an isolated machine.
The hazard in this appliance class
Safety
Unplug the machine or switch off its breaker before you remove a panel, and shut the water supply valves before you loosen a hose — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off, and a live supply hose empties a house main into a room. A capacitor can stay charged after the appliance is dead, and a hose that is still pressurised will not wait for you to be ready. If the floor is already wet, deal with the breaker before you step in it.
When this stops being DIY
Report the exact indication when booking instead of describing it, because it usually decides which part the technician brings. Settings, resets, filters and taps are owner work; the panel and the harness are not. A fault that is getting worse week by week is worth booking now instead of after it has taken something else with it.

Scope of this page
Treat this as the general case. The guidance here is generalized across every Cixi Feilong International Trading Co., Ltd. washing machine family; where a page exists for a particular family or model, that page supersedes this one and is linked below. Nothing here should be read as the service procedure for a specific chassis. It also leaves out anything specific to a rebuilt or previously repaired unit, where the last repair is part of the picture.
