Causes, most likely first on this brand
- Grease build-up in the filters and the hood path — First on an over-range unit and the reason this page exists. Grease is fuel, and it collects directly above burners in an enclosure full of electrical parts.

Call, with the circuit isolated, for any burning smell, any scorch mark inside the cavity or on the waveguide cover, arcing that repeats after a thorough clean with no metal present, or a breaker that trips with the oven alone on its circuit.
