No ice on a BougeRV VX cabinet has three doors into it: supply, cold and control. The fastest route through the diagnosis is to prove the water arrives, then prove the compartment is cold enough, and only then look at the ice maker itself.
What owners of these models report
- The arm or the bin sensor reports full when the bin is empty — The control is being told to stop, and no amount of looking at the water side will show it.
- NEAR MISS - ice tastes stale but production is normal — That is a storage and filter question, not a production fault, and it belongs elsewhere.
- Production stopped after a water filter was changed — Air in the line or a filter that is not seated, and it is the single most common recent-change cause.
- The maker cycles, you hear the harvest, but nothing lands in the bin — The cubes are sticking in the mould, which is a fill-level or a mould-heater question.
- The mould is full of water that never freezes into a harvest — Water arrives but the compartment is not cold enough or the harvest is not triggering.
What it usually turns out to be
- Fill valve failing or its screen blocked — The valve is the part that owners suspect first and that fails fourth; a blocked inlet screen mimics a failed valve exactly.
- Freezer compartment not cold enough to harvest — Second, and the one owners least expect. The mechanism is fine; the compartment simply never reaches the condition that triggers a harvest.
- Mould heater or ejector failing — This is the cubes-stick-in-the-mould branch, and it is diagnosed from that symptom rather than from a general stoppage.
- Bin arm or sensor reporting full — Cheap to rule out and easy to knock out of position when reaching for something in a crowded freezer.
What to check first, second, third
- Look in the mould: dry, full of water, or full of ice — Three states, three different branches of the diagnosis, and one look picks the branch.
- Watch a full cycle with the bin out — Slow but conclusive: you see fill, freeze and harvest in sequence and can name the step that fails.
- Check the fill tube for a plug of ice — Third because the bin usually has to come out, but on this family it is the single most productive look you can take.
- Re-seat the water filter and run several glasses through the dispenser — Clears air from the line and proves the supply in one action, and it is the first thing to do after any filter change.

Unplug the refrigerator or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off, and the evaporator fan on these models starts the instant the door switch is satisfied.
