The short answer
A leaking BlitzHome countertop dishwasher is usually overfilled, leaking at a door seal, or leaking at the drain hose where it leaves the machine. All three are owner-checkable. Because it sits on a worktop, unplug it and dry the surface before investigating anything.
What you observe
- Water at the front of the machine during the cycle — The door seal, or a door not latched squarely.
- Water appearing at the start of the drain — The drain hose connection, or a hose that has slipped.
- Water on the worktop right after filling — Overfilling past the mark, which this format makes easy.
- NEAR MISS — water left inside the tub — That is a drainage problem rather than a leak.
Causes, most likely first on this brand
- Overfilling the tank — First, and specific to a tank-fed machine: pouring past the mark leaves the tub with more water than it can contain once the pump and arm start moving it.
- A dirty, distorted or displaced door seal — Second: on a small machine the door is the largest opening in the tub, and a seal with a crumb on it leaks straight onto the worktop.
- The drain hose loose or slipped — Third. The hose is pushed on rather than clamped, and the pump's first surge can move it if it is not secured.
- The tub, pump housing or an internal hose — Last, and the only group that needs the cabinet opened. On this class of appliance that is usually a replacement decision.
Check in this order, and why
- Note when in the cycle the water appears — Fill, wash or drain each names a different part.
- Check the fill level against the tank mark — Overfilling is the leading cause on a tank-fed machine.
- Run a finger round the door seal — Crumbs, distortion and hardening are all visible by touch.
- Check the drain hose where it leaves the machine — A pushed-on hose moves more easily than owners expect.

Safety
Unplug the dishwasher before investigating any leak — this machine stands on a worktop, often beside outlets, so water and electricity are unusually close together here. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Let the tub cool before touching the door seal after a hot cycle, and dry the worktop and any outlet before plugging it back in.
When to call a technician
Call, or weigh a replacement, when the fill level is right, the seal is clean and sound, the drain hose is secure and water still escapes. Water from under the cabinet on a countertop machine usually means an internal leak, and on this class of appliance replacement is often the cheaper answer. Switch the circuit off if water has reached an outlet.
