The short answer
A BlitzHome countertop dishwasher that will not drain is nearly always losing to geometry: a hose that rises on its way to the sink, or an end sitting in standing water. Both are fixed in seconds. A blocked filter comes next, and a pump fault is last on a machine drained by gravity.
What you observe
- Water left in the tub at the end — The drain never completed.
- A slow trickle from the hose — A partial blockage or a route with too little fall.
- Water flowing back into the tub — The hose end is below the water it drained into.

Causes, most likely first on this brand
- A hose that rises along its route — First on a gravity drain: any high point between the machine and the sink stops the flow, and a hose looped over a tap or a shelf edge does exactly that.
- A hose end in standing sink water — Second: the water has nowhere to go and can siphon back into the tub, which looks like a pump fault and is not.
- A loaded filter or a blocked sump — Third. The filter is small, it fills fast without scraping, and a packed filter slows the drain to a trickle.
- A pump or control fault — Last. On a countertop machine this is usually a replacement decision rather than a repair.

- Follow the hose from machine to sink and look for high points — The commonest single finding on this platform.
- Empty the sink and check where the hose ends — Standing water stops a gravity drain outright.
- Check the machine sits higher than the hose outlet — Gravity drainage needs a fall the whole way.
- Only then pull the filter — That is the last owner-level step here.

Let the tub cool after a hot cycle. Never lift a full countertop machine to pour it out; bail it first, because the weight of the water makes it far heavier than it looks.
When to call a technician
Call, or weigh a replacement, when the hose falls the whole way, the sink is empty, the filter is clean and the tub still holds water. On a countertop machine a pump repair usually approaches the price of the appliance, so ask for the total first. A burning smell during the drain step means stop using it now.
