The short answer
Diagnosing a noise does not require knowing which Beko washer you own. Noise is placed by when it happens rather than by which model makes it, and the four windows - fill, wash, spin and drain - point at four different sets of parts on every washing machine ever built.
What you observe
- A bang in the pipework as the machine fills — Water hammer in the plumbing, not the washer.
- Banging and walking at spin speed — Uneven feet or an unbalanced load.
- A scrape that continues with the drum empty — Something trapped between the drum and the outer tub.
- A buzz only while water is pumping out — The drain pump, often with debris in it.
- NEAR MISS - noise with water on the floor — The leak comes first; the water-leak page covers it.
Causes, most likely first on this family
- Unbalanced load — First, and free to prove: redistribute and restart the spin.
- Uneven feet or a rocking cabinet — Second, and the leading installation cause on any front-loader.
- Debris in the pump filter chamber — Third, and the only debris trap an owner can open.
- Object trapped between drum and tub — Fourth, and identified by a scrape that survives an empty drum.
- Worn drum bearings — Last, and the only one that rises smoothly with spin speed.
Check in this order, and why
- Decide which window the noise falls in — First, because it splits the causes four ways at no cost.
- Redistribute the load and restart the spin — Second, and it clears the commonest cause outright.
- Push the top corners to check the cabinet does not rock — Third. Any movement means the feet need setting.
- Open the pump filter and empty the chamber — Fourth, with the machine unplugged and a tray ready.
Before you open anything
Safety
Unplug the machine before opening the pump filter or any panel, and close both taps before disturbing a hose. Water behind the filter can be hot. Never reach into a turning drum and never run a spin with a panel removed to listen.
When to call a technician
Call when the load balances, the cabinet is level, the filter is clear and an empty drum still scrapes or rumbles, because both of those live behind the outer tub. Have the rating plate details ready when you do.
