A Beko BFR refrigerator that runs without cooling is far more often an airflow fault than a sealed-system one. These cabinets cool the fresh-food compartment with air moved from a single evaporator behind the freezer wall, so anything that ices that evaporator or stops its fan warms the food side while the compressor keeps running. Two of the three likely causes are checked by ear.
What owners actually see
- The condenser area at the back feels barely warm — Across the whole of this line, a condenser that is not shedding heat either has no airflow of its own or is not receiving heat, which separates two very different faults.
- The unit has been running longer between stops for weeks — Lengthening run time is the earliest measurable sign, and it appears well before food is affected.

- Blocked vents from overpacking — Boxes pressed against the rear freezer wall or the fresh-food return vent stop circulation with nothing wrong with the machine. It is the most common cause that needs no repair at all.
- High ambient temperature around the cabinet — A unit boxed into a warm alcove, or standing beside an oven, loses its margin entirely. Nothing is faulty and the cabinet still will not hold temperature.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. A refrigerator holds food safely at 40 °F (4 °C) or below and a freezer at 0 °F (-18 °C) or below, so move anything perishable to a cooler with ice before starting work.
