- Push the closed drawer firmly and listen — Third. A buzz that responds to hand pressure is the drawer rather than a component.
- Check your code for the IM suffix — Fourth. A periodic water noise on a plain code has to be something else.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never defeat the drawer switch to watch the evaporator fan run - it is an interlock and the blade is unguarded. A loaded freezer drawer pulls the cabinet forward when fully extended, so empty it before working at the base.

When to call a technician
