The short answer
The Beko BFBF table carries more model codes than any other bottom-freezer family in the range, and that span is the first thing to use when the cabinet starts making a noise. The codes cover several cabinet widths, two hinge sides and both ice-maker and plain builds, so reading your code narrows the list before you listen to anything.
What you observe
- A buzz that changes when you press the freezer drawer face — The drawer is not sitting square on its rails.
- A whir or tick that stops when the drawer is opened — The evaporator fan, cut by the drawer switch, usually striking frost.
- A periodic clatter and running water — Only on the IM codes: an ice harvest and refill working normally.
- A drone that fills the room from a wide cabinet — The rear panel resonating - a levelling or contact issue rather than a failing part.
- NEAR MISS - noise with the fresh-food compartment warming — A symptom of an airflow fault; the cooling page comes first.
Causes, most likely first on this family
- Freezer drawer not closing square on its rails — First, because a drawer is a moving joint a hinged freezer door does not have, and a package behind the basket holds it out.
- Cabinet rocking on unevenly loaded feet — Second, and more pronounced on the wider codes in this family than on the narrow ones.
- Evaporator fan striking frost — Third. It sits directly behind the drawer, so the drawer switch confirms it in seconds.
- Ice-maker fill and harvest noise — Fourth, normal operation, and possible only on the IM codes.
- Compressor mounts or tubing contact — Last, and the only cause here needing the cabinet opened.
Check in this order, and why
- Open the freezer drawer while the noise is happening — First and decisive: the drawer switch cuts the fan, so a noise that stops is the fan.
- Press the closed drawer face and listen for the buzz to change — Second. A noise responding to hand pressure is the drawer, not a component.
- Press each top corner of the cabinet in turn — Third, and worth more on the wider codes: a broad carcass rocking on three feet drones.
- Check your code for the IM suffix — Fourth. A periodic water noise on a plain code has to be something else.
Before you open anything
Safety
Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never defeat the drawer switch to watch the evaporator fan run - it is an interlock and the blade is unguarded. A loaded freezer drawer pulls the cabinet forward when fully extended, so empty it before working at the base.

When to call a technician
Call when the drawer closes square, the cabinet is level and no fan is striking frost, because mounts and fan motors need the machine opened. Call immediately if the noise comes with a burning smell or with a compartment that has begun to warm.
