What this means on this line
A Beko BBMB ice maker that has stopped is usually telling you about water rather than about itself. A closed tap, a pinched line, a frozen fill tube and an arm held up cover the great majority of reports, and none of them needs a part.
Symptoms on these models
- Cube size shrank over several weeks before production stopped — For every model in this family, a gradual flow restriction, which points at the tap, the line or a tube beginning to ice rather than at the module.
- Production stopped immediately after the cabinet was moved — The supply line behind the appliance is the first thing pinched when a cabinet is pushed back into place.
- The bin is full of fused cubes rather than loose ones — Cubes that partly melted and refroze, which is a freezer temperature question rather than a production one. It does not vary across the models listed on this page.
- NEAR MISS: water is pooling on the freezer floor — That is a drain or fill overflow question, and the water-leak page for this family is the better starting point.
Why it happens, in order
- A frozen fill tube — First on the BBMB line because the tube delivers water into a compartment held below freezing, so any slow fill or dribble freezes in place and blocks every later cycle. It is also the cause that clears with no part at all. This applies to the whole line rather than to one model.
- The shut-off arm held up — Second because it is free to check and because a package leaning against the arm produces a maker that appears completely dead while being in perfect order. The same is true of each model covered here.
- A freezer that is not cold enough to harvest — The mould needs to reach its release temperature before a harvest fires. A freezer running warm makes fewer, wetter cubes and eventually none.
- A saddle valve that has partly closed or silted — Older installations tee off the cold supply with a small valve that silts up and restricts flow gradually, which produces shrinking cubes long before it produces none.
- A failed harvest motor in the maker — Last because it needs the module out to confirm and because a jammed bin, a frozen mould and a stalled cycle all imitate it exactly from the front.
What to check first, second, third
- Check the shut-off arm is down and nothing is leaning on it — First on the BBMB line because it costs nothing and because a package against the arm is the single most common reason a maker appears dead. The models in the table behave the same way here.
- Look for a slab or a plug of ice in the mould — Second: clearing it by hand restores cycling immediately and tells you whether the fault recurs, which is the real diagnostic.
- Find the supply tap and confirm it is fully open — Third, because it is usually under a sink and is closed during unrelated plumbing work more often than anyone expects. That is true of every model this family spans.
- Pull the cabinet forward and follow the supply line — A kink within a hand span of the cabinet is the usual finding, and it explains shrinking cubes before it explains none at all.
- Trace the supply line to its valve under the sink — Older saddle valves silt and restrict gradually, and they are outside the appliance where nobody thinks to look.
- Look for a ridge of ice behind the mould — Water spraying past the mould names a misaligned or partly frozen fill tube without any dismantling at all.
Before anything comes apart
Safety
Isolate the cabinet before working at the maker. Use warm water or a hair dryer on a low setting to clear a frozen fill tube, never a flame and never a sharp tool.

When this becomes a service call
The owner boundary on the BBMB line is the water path. Every part of it is checkable without tools; the electrical side of the maker is not. That holds across every model this page covers.
